Anyways, back to cocktails! These mojitos are refreshing and delicious! Full of tart cranberries and fresh mint from the garden! Mojitos are a rum cocktail made with muddled mint and lime. The cranberries are a nice sweet and tart addition to your traditional mojito.

They are simple to make and sure to keep your guest merry this holiday season! Let’s be honest the tree is not the only thing getting lit this year!😉 JK 😂 But it is nice to enjoy the holidays with some festive drinks! A little green and red cocktail to get you in the holiday spirit!

4 cocktails glasses

cocktail shaker

1 cup of fresh mint leaves

2 limes

1 cup of fresh cranberries

1 bottle of white rum

1 bottle of cranberry-pomegranate juice

1 can of sprite

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of water

4 drinking straws

toothpicks + 1/2 cup of extra cranberries for garnish (optional)

Yields: 4 cocktails

  1. Start by making your simple syrup. In a pot boil sugar and water, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Then remove from heat and allow to cool completely.

TIP: You can make your simple syrup ahead of time and store in the fridge. I like to keep a premade simple syrup in my fridge just for cocktails. It usually stores for up to 4-6 weeks.

2. Remove the mint leaves from their stems and set aside. Cut limes into wedges and set aside. Fill cocktail glasses with ice. I like to pack mine 3/4 of the way full!3. In your cocktail shaker add 6-8 mint leaves, 2-3 lime wedges, 1/4 of the cranberries and with your muddler crush ingredients into the bottom of the cocktail shaker. This really helps to bring out the flavor of the mint leaves and releases the juices from the fruit. I like to do this for about 30 seconds to a minute.img_2184.jpg4. To the cocktail shaker add a handful of ice, 1 shot of simple syrup, 1 shot of rum and 2 shots of cranberry-pomegranate juice, put the lid on your shaker and SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE!!!img_2186.jpg5.Pour cocktail over the ice in the cocktail glass. Top with a splash of sprite and garnish with a lime wedge, more cranberries! Or if you feel like getting real FANCY take a toothpick and stab 3-4 cranberries, push them up the toothpick until all are aligned and place in cocktail!

6. Repeat three more times! Or many more times if you’re having more than one! Which you probably will because they are so delicious!yumWell there you have it y’all! A merry holiday cranberry garden mint mojito! A delightful cocktail to sip while spreading Christmas cheer this year with your family and friends!
I hope you are on the NICE list this year and Santa brings you everything you want!  For those of you on the naughty list well … there is always next year! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! CHEERS!!!Grow it. Pick it. Cook it. Eat it.
